Eric Pitt Digital Masonic Collection

The Eric Pitt Digital Collection is a series of images related to the Stockton Masonic Lodge - Lodge Peninsula.

In 1992 the Stockton Masonic Hall and all its contents were destroyed in a dramatic fire that totally destroyed the building that had been home to Masons in Stockton for over 50 years.

During that time in addition to being a home for the Masons, it was also a picture theatre, site of wedding receptions, debutante balls and school dances as well as many other social and sporting organisations.

While the physical items related to the Lodge are gone, we hope to preserve its memory and place in the history of Stockton by creating a digital collection made up of community contributions of their family heirlooms and memories. To start this process, family members of Stockton Historical Society Life Member, Eric Pitt have allowed us to photograph some items and make them available to the wider community.
